Peak Algarve Sauna

The most comprehensive sauna in Lagos/Algarve, Peak Algarve offers sauna + fitness sessions in nature, garden sauna sessions, and portable sauna rental services.

Starting at the most affordable €5 for backyard garden sauna drop-in, €20 group yoga + sauna at the beach, and at €120 for 24-hours private with free delivery. It’s the most versatile and well-priced option we found in Lagos/Algarve so far.

Yoga + Sauna at the beach in Lagos

The sauna stove is a Swedish-made Bast wood-fired sauna which gets very hot and works very effectively.

Cascade Resort Sauna

Located in the luxury Cascade Resort and available to non-guests, they provide access to sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and swimming pool for 20 euros. Towels are included, however due to the popularity the sauna is often quite full and even a line for sauna use occurrs.

The most luxury option in Lagos

The sauna does get hot and is a traditional electric Harvia sauna with stones for tossing water onto.

A good option on non-peak hours and off-days, though we prefer the privacy of other options, especially during evenings or weekends.

Splendid Ocean Sauna

A portable wood-fired sauna setup 1-2x per week at various beaches around the Western Algarve. Maximum 4 people per 1.5 hour session, with two sessions taking place on a given night.

It is located along Meia Praia beach outside of Lagos.

SAL Spa Luz

A heated saltwater pool sauna, and steam room in the SAL spa circuit and priced at 25 euros for 1-hour of use. The sauna is unfortunately a dry infrared sauna. Exclusive private use of the spa for 1-hour is 150 euros.

A cozy, relaxing space

A nice, boutique way to recharge with a quiet atmosphere, but for sauna lovers the small infrared sauna may not suffice.

Algarve Alchemy Lagos

Primarily a health & yoga studio, Algarve Alchemy offers infrared sauna + ice bath is possible and starts at 18 euros for 30 minutes for just sauna use.

Infrared sauna

As usual with infrared saunas, we find them mediocre compared to wood or electric Harvia stoves as they do not get hot enough or allow the throwing of water onto stones for the authentic sauna experience.

The ice bath gets properly cold as it has a cold-pump to chill it down to near-freezing levels.
