In general, finding accommdation in the Algarve is always a bit tricky. As summer season rents out for so much, many landlords earn enough off that and leave their properties un-rented.

To get a long-term rental is the real hard part as year-long rentals are hard to come by. Other regions in Portugal are also quite a bit lower in rent costs, and while not sunny paradise of the Algarve, they’re still very worthy to live in.
